FO: Chapelet #2 Sweater

I finished another knitted item recently, for an even more impressive FO: my big sister's second born baby, Miss MLC! She was born September 15 and let me tell you...she's an absolute doll. Can't wait to meet her, and I won't have to wait too long.

Clearly I snapped these photos before I sewed the buttons down, but you get the idea. I went with baby blue because the baby's sex was a surprise to us all, but I thought that this shade would look lovely on either Chapelet or Chapelette, considering first born's complexion. I sewed the buttons on using a buttercup yellow thread.

we are family: the second half

When my brother was in town, we finished off Saturday with drinks on the rooftop at SoHo House, then walked the High Line at sunset and had dinner at a diner.

On Sunday, we enjoyed a barbeque and games at Prospect Park with a bunch of friends

On Monday, Ted and I took a whirlwind tour of Columbus Circle, Central Park and Chinatown before heading back to the airport in the late afternoon.

we are family: begin at the beginning

My brother came to visit me for a long weekend starting early morning last Friday!
Friday was spent wandering through a humid LES, then drinks in midtown, then a fancy steak and babyback rib dinner at Quality Meats.
Saturday we went to SoHo for some delicious knishes at Yonah Shimel's, some poking around the vintage furniture, and some shopping on Broadway. Then we headed to SoHo House where D had the hookup, and enjoyed some breezy summer cocktails by the rooftop pool. After that, it was burgers, shakes and salty salads at a classic New York diner!
To be continued for Sunday and Monday's adventures....

Luckily, I know of a baby who will need something like this come autumn '09....
