fast times
Tuesday I went to see an old friend's band (my high school sweetheart, actually), Strangefeather, play at the Parkside Lounge in the LES. Along with me was an even older friend (middle school years) and some very new and exciting people. We had a blast! Bill and the band sounded amazing, and we all hopped on their crazy tour bus for a few more songs and tambourine playing after the show. Thanks guys, we had a great time with you!
For any readers in the New York City area, they'll be swinging back through next week to play the Annex on April 21.

Last night was spent laughing with my best women at Flight of the Conchord's Radio City Music Hall performance. I'm a fan of the show, but I gotta say, listening to these guys play their songs live is even more enjoyable. I only wish they'd come out for a third encore to play Bowie in Space....

Tattoo: Phase 2
This session was a bit more trying to sit (or lay, as it were) through.
There was blood, oh yes. Still managed fine and again almost fell asleep,
but afterwards I was pretty much exhausted.
I took a hard hour-long nap when I got home and felt as if I had a
migraine coming on when I woke up.
So worth it, though! The shot above was taken right after my sitting,
before the redness really set in. I'm so excited to see how the tattoo will look after my final session in 2 weeks when the color's added.
Check out the roots and face! So different from before....

Bar Crawlin'
Last night I enjoyed the company of good friends as we embarked on our first ever Prospect Heights bar crawl. We hit up Franklin Park, Beast, Soda, Barrette, Weather Up and Freddie's and adhered to a strict 2 drinks per establishment rule.

Hanami Festival
Can't wait to go to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and walk through the cherry trees in bloom! I'll be keeping an eye on this in order to go during peek cherry blossom time.
